I'm out of work for the third day in a row, sick, ugh! I hate being sick. I rarely get sick but it seems when I do it's like the germs have been saving up their wrath so they can doubly torment me.

I'm going to try and use this day to my advantage. lavvyan writes amazing stories when she's sick (not that she doesn't write amazing stories all the time), so I'm going to work a little on a new story, a McShep wing!fic, which I may be just a tad too excited about. I got the idea from chkc's fabulous drug-induced hallucination she drew when she was sick, so it all kind of fits really. Except in my story the principals are reversed. If you haven't seen this lovely piece of art, check it out and please tell chkc how much you like it (and that she can, indeed, draw people, quite well actually).

Well, it's morning where I am.  Some lovely (anonymous) person gifted me with the cutest little polar bear - so snuggly!  With the week I've had, it was a pleasant and welcome surprise, so THANK YOU  and big HUGS to you, whoever you are.  Now, for work... ugh!

Well, according to DH's Twitter, the baby is taking it's own sweet time. (Poor Jane)  And, something about doing a movie -  "Helen", will have to check that out.

Okay, so how pathetic am I that I have the Twitter messages come to my cell phone??  But it's so cool to open your phone to a message from dhewlett!!  I can't tell you how often they've put a smile on my face during the day - when I really needed it.

Normally, I wouldn't post about something like this, but IT'S RAINING here and has been for over 3 hours now!  This is momentous because it hasn't rained here since June!  I've got 35-year old azaleas in the garden that just gave up and died, even after the pitiful attempt at watering we made.  We couldn't really do much because inside the city limits, they frowned on unnecessary water use.  I'm so excited.  There might even be a sprig of "green" in my yard when I get home, which has lately resembled Tombstone.  If I wasn't at work right now, I'd be out dancing in it... naked.  Which, just so you know, would frighten all of the children, small animals and elderly for a good couple of square miles, so... maybe not.

I couldn't possibly resist this one.  It's interesting that I've done a book quiz from a couple of different sources and both came up this same book - I guess that means I'm gonna have to read this one.  Yep.

OK, why can't I stop taking quizzes?????  Oh well, it's fun and it doesn't hurt anyone - does not use up any valuable resources - does not infringe upon the rights of others to live their lives as they please... quizzes are good!  Here's the latest.
