Title: The Last Word (when you see with my eyes)
Author:
neevebrody
Characters: John, Rodney, Jennifer
Rating: G
Words: ~3,000
Spoilers: This does run along a theme of the The Shrine, but I can't really call it spoilery for that episode, but possible spoilers for Last Man.
Beta:
velocitygrass beta'd this even though she doesn't usually read this type of fic. Your thoughts and approval really meant a lot to me, hon, thank you so very much.
AN/Warnings: Believe it or not, I had this story in mind for a while before The Shrine. It's loosely based on the film, The Final Cut, with Robin Williams. Character death is mentioned but the death does not occur in the fic. I feel I also have to warn there is mention of Rodney and Jennifer and marriage. It's also angsty and hurty, but still full of McShep love. I realize I've just talked everyone out of reading it… but I hope you'll give it a chance.
Summary: He's already late, yet he sits, kneading the steering wheel. John Sheppard, big hero. He's faced countless enemies, but none as formidable as his own fears and insecurities.
