I didn't quite get the time to write anything today, so I made some art for you. (behind the cut to spare the flists) I hope you like it, dear, and I hope the next year brings you much joy, love and accomplishment. ::HUGS::

If there is one person or more on your friends list who makes your world a better place just because they exist and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.
At the risk of incoherent rambling and blubbering... I think you all know what you mean to me. Your personalities, your brains, your feelings, your passions and your talents make my life better every day by your sharing them with me.

First of all, I have the best F-list in the history of - ever! I was having a difficult day (emotionally) on Saturday and I really appreciate those of you who expressed your concern. I just really hold that to my heart and I'm very thankful to have such wonderful friends.
In addition to the flist, there were a few other things that changed my mood for the better. One was decorating the Christmas tree. It had been up for a few days dressed only in lights, so I decided to finally finish it while listening to the Nutcracker Suite, which I adore. There's a couple of pics behind the cut - if you click a few times you get the huge version and the second one is kind of blurry, but pretty:

One thing I do every year is read Dickens' A Christmas Carol. I get a lot of enjoyment out of reading the words, but I love all the movie variations as well (even the Muppet version because I think Michael Caine makes a great Scrooge). One of my favorites is the 1951 film 'Scrooge' staring Alastair Sim. It's true to the Dickens prose and this Tiny Tim just tears my heart out. Sim really is outstanding as Scrooge. I watched it Saturday night and, as always, it helped me put things back into proper perspective. So... I thought I'd share it with those of you who may not have seen this version or who haven't seen it in a while. Just change xx to tt: hxxp://www.megaupload.com/?d=00O78QJA
Last, but certainly not least, I got a card yesterday from My Artist with a fabulous original McShep drawing that was just what I needed and will probably spark fic before it's all said and done. Thank you, sweetheart - I LOVE it! ♥ ♥ ♥ It also came with Lindt chocolate!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO:
I hope you both have/had a wonderful day and may the next year be a good one for you both, filled with all your dreams come true... *hugs* and *hugs*
Well, I see that it's 'More Joy' day. We can all use a little of that, right? I wish I had the means to personally shower my flisters' profile pages with gifts, but I do not. So… I offer the next best thing (well, I suppose that's subjective). A little McShep ficlet, which I hope will bring you all a bit of (unexpected) Joy!
You know how sometimes people on your friend's list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER? since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you *should* already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.
Please copy mine below, erase my answers putting yours in their place then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration! One-Word-Answers seldom help anyone out :)
I made quite a few new friends as a result of the McShep friending meme over at
mckay_sheppard and just wanted to take a moment to say "Hi!"

I know your day is half over, but I hope it's been a good one! I wish for you everything you wish for - you deserve it!
Thank you for your inspiration and brainstorming and picking apart my ficlets and not frowning on me when I post a 5,000 word challenge fic at
mcsheplets. The link below will take you to a little something I wrote for you. It's RPS - Joe/David and I have you to thank for inspiring me to try my hand. I hope you like it, sweetie!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
to the wonderful… insight2
I hope you have a lovely day my dear, and I wish for you a year of dreams
I wrote a little something for you in honor of your natal anniversary, so I hope you enjoy it. Just a little ficlet called:
Also, I have new header for my journal that I'm very excited about. It's very "pretty."
Whether you express yourself by ranting about RL (or anything else), squeeing with joy, writing fic, creating incredible art, or just popping up to say "hi" every now and again, I will always listen. Oh, did I mention I love you all!
1. Tell me one thing you love about me.
2. Tell me two things you love about yourself. No self-deprecation allowed! (I've done it and if I can, you can. If you feel love is too strong a word - just tell me two things that are GREAT about you!)
3. Look through the comments — when you see someone you know, tell them three things you love about them.
4. Do this in your journal.
This is a good one to keep going, I think.
